Find Out In This Affiliate Marketing Training How To Make Your First Sale

In this post about affiliate marketing training I will show you the process in order to make your first sale.

It may be possible for you depending on your efforts to make your first sale in the first few weeks.

In this affiliate marketing training excercise I will show you how to leverage your marketing efforts by building a data base of prospects that many other marketers let slip through their fingers.

With this method you will be building your list, creating a relationship as well as promoting products all at the same time.

Basically there are three elements to this method –

  • You create a free offer and a squeeze page to entice people to join your list.
  • You create a short aut-responder series that promotes your affiliate link.
  • Promote your squeeze page which builds your list and makes you sales.

Your Free Offer

free offerYour free offer can be a report, video series or audio file and it has to be perceived as extremely high value.

Determine your niche and find out what products they are buying so basically if you can provide this information for free people will literally bite your hand off for it.

So when you have found out what information people are buying simply write your report or create your video series based on that information. It only takes a bit of research to find out the pain points and base you offer around that.

If you are not comfortable of doing it yourself then there other ways to do it such as outsourcing which means getting someone else to do it or taking advantage of products that have already been created by obtaining the giveaway rights. These usually come in the form of PLR or Private Label Rights and there are many resources on the internet where you can obtain them.

Your squeeze page or lead capture page is where your prospects enter their email addresses in order to receive your free offer. I have written a comprehensive guide to squeeze pages and you can read the post by clicking here.

Your squeeze page is linked to your auto-responder service. My personal preference is a company called Aweber although there are other providers available. You can watch a series of videos explaining everything about Aweber by clicking here.

Your Auto-responder Series

auto-responderOnce you have set up your account and created you list you can pre-populate it with a series of emails which can be drip fed to your prospects over the course of days and weeks. This lets you establish a relationship with your list of subscribers.

This also gives you the chance to provide value to your list in this series. It can be tips, links to resources and also put some of your own personal stories in and add your personality so that your prospects can connect and relate to you. Usually your series will be 7-8 emails.

In these emails you will put your afiliate link to the product that you are promoting. Personally I would wait until the 4th or 5th before you put your first link in and then at the end of the series. The prospect won’t think you are spamming them if you do it this way. If you continually promote everyday then they will unsubscribe from your list.

Promoting You Page

web trafficThere are many ways to promote your squeeze page. If you have an authority site then put a link to it or a banner on your home page.

Tweet about it to your followers on Twitter.

Set up a Facebook Fan Page and on that put a link or create a tab to your free offer. Use Facebook pay per click advertising to get people to like your page or advertise direct to your squeeze page.

Post ads on classified ad networks such as Craigslist or any other classified advertising platforms.

Join niche specific forums and interact with other forum members and have a link to you squeeze page within your author bio box.

Use press release companies. In this way you latch onto current news and special events.

Write articles about your niche or again have them written for you and submit them to article directories with the link to your squeeze page embedded into the article.

Set up Pay-Per-Click campaigns with places such as Google Adwords, Bing or Yahoo. Be careful as this can be quite expensive but it is a super fast way to get people to your page.

Video Marketing – Do your own promotional video on the niche that you are in and upload it to video site such as Youtube. Have your link to your squeeze page in the description text block.

These are tried and tested ways to promote your squeeze page. I would suggest concentrating on one method at first to become proficient in it. When that starts to work then move onto another to run side by side.

In Summary

  1. Create a free offer and squeeze page. This creates an incentive for people to to subscribe to your list.
  2. Set up your auto-responder. This is where your data base is built. It enables you to communicate with your list and build a relationship as well as promoting your affiliate offers.
  3. Promote you squeeze page. Pick a method to advertise your squeeze page. pick one at a time and when you find a method that works then scale it up and move onto another.

I hope that this affiliate marketing training post has helped you on your road to become a successful affiliate marketer.

As always I wish you well.
