The Power Of The Squeeze Page
So just what is the purpose of a squeeze page. A squeeze page or as sometimes referred to as a lead capture page is where somebody enters their email address. A simple principle but very powerful. When a person enter their email address it goes into what is called an autoresponder. This enables you to start compiling a list of subscribers.
The further you go along this journey of setting up you online business you will realise just what the significance of having a list of subscribers is and just how much of a powerful asset it will become in your business.
So you may be wondering why somebody would give you their email address. After all in this age of spamming and people getting unsolicitated email people are very protective of handing out their details. Well it follows on from my previous post about defining your niche which you can read here.
If you have done your research correctly then the people who are landing on you squeeze page will be interested in what you have to offer. This is the key thing, your offer and it has to be free but also have the perception of immense value.
So what do your offer someone for receipt of their email address. Usually within our industry you will be offering a free report, a video training series or sometimes an audio file. The thing is this free offer has to be of an extreme benefit to a person who is experiencing a particular problem. If you can supply the solution then anybody will be happy to give you their email address.
So how can you create a squeeze apge?
Well the good news is that in 2014 it is a lot easier for affiliate marketers to get their hands on a ready made squeeze page. It is very common now for product vendors to supply the sqeeze pages which have your affiliate link embedded within the URL.

- Headline – This usually is big and bold at the top of your page. Its main purpose is to grab the attention of your prospect and highlight the biggest benefit of your offer.
An example would be, and if it is ok with you I would like to use the golfing niche as it is one of my passions, would be along the lines of this –
“Free Report Reveals How To Drive Your Ball Over 300 Yards“
- Sub Headline – This is where you would ask the prospect a question. This gives you a sense of engagement.
“Would You Like To Be Nearer The Green For Your Approach Shot“
- Bullet Points – You have grabbed the prospects attention and now you need to tell what they get if they subscribe.
- Finally Break The 300 Yard Barrier
- Use Your Short Irons Approaching The Green
- Improve Your Score
- Bring Your Haandicap Down
- Offer Proof – People are often sceptical and wary of big claims. So offer them proof. Testimonials are really good but make sure they are genuine. Don’t cheat and make them up. Photo’s and videos are really convincing so offer them as well. Once the prospect is reassured then they are more likely to subscribe.
- Call To Action – Simply tell them what to do.
An example would be – “Please Enter Your Email Address To Receive The Free Report“
These are the main ingredients for a successful squeeze page if you are thinking about doing your own. This is a good ecxercise to undertake because it increases your skill sets within your own online business.
