Following on in this series we will now concentrate on Outsourcing as that is the 5th of the 7 habits os hihgly successful internet marketers.

Focus On Goals

Basically outsourcing is utilizing other peoples skills and time to enable you to gain more leverage on the business system that you have created.

You are delegating certain parts of your business that you ar not physically responsible for the implementation of certain tasks. It allows you to work on your goals more quickly and effectively.

We all have different skill sets so why not take advantage of people who are trained to do the job which you are not so good at. Beacuse it is their skill set they are ultra focused to produce the best results.

Another point about outsourcing is that it allows you to enjoy a certain amount of time freedom because other people are doing the work. It cuts out the running around like a headless chicken scenario.

Investment Not Expense

You need to get into the mindset that outsourcing is an investment in your business and don’t see it as an expense.

The outsourcer is more skilled than you at certain tasks so they will do it better and ultimately it will make your business a more valuable asset.

Look at it this way. An expense does not give you anything back whereas and investment does!

By outsourcing parts of your business you are planting little seeds which will mature into a well oiled money making machine.

Scale Up Business

Outsourcing is a perfect way to scale up your business because you are leveraging the power, energy and skills of many people.

To be a successful internet marketer you have to understand the impracticality of trying to master all the fields to develop a successful business.

There is a phrase “Jack of all trades and master of none” so try and master a select few. One of the most important skill sets to master is the management of the people who are working for you and what they are doing.

The ultimate goal of outsourcing is to help you create auto-pilot income. Your role is to oversee your team to make sure they are happy and that they are delivering to you the results you want.

Shift In Perspective

If you go into outsourcing you must have the mindset of ensuring that everybody benefits. So in other words by creating a win/win/win situation.

If somebody in the chain feels they are losing out for any reason then you have a weak link which unless you remedy will break and the system shuts down.

Although it is your business try and think of your workers as partners within the business. You need to get a good team spirit going so try and hire people who have a similar vision on what you are trying to achieve.

Effective Time Management

Effective time management is key. When you have this skill set mastered you are effectively multi-tasking by doing just one thing.

If you go back to the Pareto Principle, which I talked about in a previous post, what you are effectively doing is giving the less important but still necessary parts of your business to other people so you can concentrate on the 20% of the crucial activities to increase business.

What you do is get people to write articles and sales copy, someone to do design and other people to research information into future projects. Your business will grow faster than if you try and do it all yourself.

You become a manager of people instead of a manager of tasks. This is what the most successful internet marketers do.
