Affiliate marketing is a very profitable and in many respects a very easy way to start an online business.
I know that when I became aware of affiliate marketing it intrigued me on how you could sell other peoples products and services and receive a commission for it.

Needless to say I found tons of information but unfortunately most of it was utter rubbish. The training was poor to say the least and there are a lot of products out there for you to promote which are sub-standard.
I learnt many lessons along the way and I lost a lot of money on so called “Get Rich Quick” schemes and “Push Button Software” which promises that you will earn thousands but in effect delivers nothing.
The only way to succeed in affiliate marketing is to get the right training, mentoring and have the correct tools and high quality products to promote.
As I have said I have spent a lot of money trying to find the right program. A program that gave me everything I needed in one place to give me the chance to succeed.
So what should you be looking for when deciding which program or platform to join and use?
- Credibility – Make sure that you research the people who have developed the program. Are they successful, can they “walk the walk” or are they just full of hype and fluff?
- Training – Doe’s the program offer you comprehensive step-by-step training to get you on the right track for success. If they don’t then don’t join up. It is as simple as that!
- Mentoring – On top of the training does the affiliate program offer you proper mentoring? Things like access to business coaches who can offer you a helping hand when you need it as well as ongoing support.
- Resources – The affiliate program should offer you all the resources that you need. This will include your affiliate links, landing pages, sales pages, website hosting and website creation tools, tracking software, graphic creation software. An actual Digital Business System which integrates with their products and services. Again if they do not then my advice is to steer clear.
- High Quality In Demand Products – Make sure that the program offers high quality in demand products for you to promote which you will also be proud to promote. One big tip is don’t promote rubbish second rate products as you will get lots of refunds and you will soon get a bad reputation!
Now that is a pretty comprehensive list of things to look for and you may well be daunted by the scale of it. You could try and find all this on your own like I had to!
