Are Your Spinning Your Wheels And Getting Nowhere?
Have you ever had the feeling of being a Hamster? Spinning your wheels and getting nowhere fast. I know I have. For me I had that feeling over 20 years ago when I was in the corporate world working for a printing company.
Looking back now it is quite depressing to think that at the age of 21 I felt that I was at a crossroads in my life with the feeling of having no direction. I had a feeling of great despair.
Maybe you have felt like that in the past or it may sum up your current circumstances. You may want something different but just do not know how to make it happen. Are you at that crossroads in life with a decision to make What path will you take?
For me I knew that there was more to life than just working for someone else. I was working hard and yes I was earning a reasonable income but at the end of the day I was making somebody else richer. I knew things had to change. Then it happened.
Have you ever experienced a light bulb effect. A defining moment when suddenly everthing becomes so much clearer. I did and acted on it. I had had a really bad day at work, I went home stressed and then it hit me like a bullet. I decided that I wanted to start my own business so the next day “I QUIT“.
You may have had the light bulb effect but for whatever reason you may not have had the conviction to follow it through. That’s fine, it is not a decision to take lightly. However is that thought still nagging at the back of mind.
I am a great believer that “if’s” and “maybe’s” don’t do you a lot of good. Meaning to say that if you have ever said to yourself “maybe if I had done that” or “if I had only gone for it, where would I be now?” you will thinking of that for the rest of your life. No question!
For me I always think things through but when the decision is made I then act on it.
