Here Are 5 Working From Home Tips To Help You Stay More Productive
Working from home is great but it is easy to lose focus and your productivity levels drop so here are 5 working from home tips to keep you ontrack in your home business.
5 Working From Home Tips
Have A Designated Work Space
Although you work from home you must feel like you are going to work. So for the first of my working from home tips I want to advise you to make a space in your home that is your home office.
Try and have a specific room which is your work space so when you are in it you are at work.
Make A Schedule
You need to have a daily schedule. Set regular hours and break that time into tiny bite sized pieces so that you know what needs to be done and at what time.
Your set hours is up to you. It does not need to be 9-5 so if 10-3 works better for you then that is your working day.
Turn Off Distractions
Be sure to turn off the television and radio so you don’t get distracted. Also you will be working on your computer so don’t have Facebook & Twitter open in any of your windows to make it too easy for you to catch up with what is going on in the social media world.
Get Yourself A Good Chair
You don’t want to get numb bum syndrome. Invest in a good comfy office chair because you will spending a lot of time in it.
Tall mesh back chairs are great as they keep you cool and make sure where you sit is well padded as you don’t want to feel like you are sitting on a brick.
You Must Take Breaks
To keep prodctive you must give yourself breaks. Staring at a computer or writing pad can give you headaches and you can become less creative if you constantly look at them.
What I do is take 5 minute breaks say 4 or 5 times a day to make a coffee or just go out into the garden to get some fresh air.
Also make sure that you eat. Start with a good breakfast and when it comes to lunch have a light snack and then go for a walk for 15-20 minutes. It gets you moving and sometimes your best ideas will come from this downtime.
So I hope these 5 working from home tips have given you some help in getting that balance in your day so that you can be a productive as possible.
As always I wish you well.
