Can Work From Home Moms Build A Successful Home Business?
Success Tips For Work From Home Moms
Work From Home Moms gain a lot of satisfaction from sharing tips with each other so that they all have a far greater chance of succeeding within their home based business. What you must understand is that there is no magic formula to success and to stand any chance of making a significant income then you must be prepared to actually do some work.
Any system that you come across that promises you thousands of dollars for pushing a few buttons and doing hardly anything should be treated with extreme caution. Quite frankly they are scams and should be outlawed.
Saying that there have been many work from home moms who have been very successful and have been more than happy to share their tips for success to other work fom home moms who themselves have created successful home businesses.
For that particular reason I will start with networking as my number 1 success tip for work from home moms.
Social Networking – When we say social networking we automatically think of Facebook and Twitter. Now these social networks can be very powerful in the building of your home based business if done properly.
What I am trying to say is that you are a work from home mom so hang out with other work from home moms. There are entire online communities which are free to join who are entirely dedicated to helping work from home moms succeed. You will have the piece of mind that you are part of a community who you can turn to whenever things get difficult and you can be sure that at some point they will.
Technology – We are fortunate that we live in the age of technology. We have so many resources at our disposal that sometimes it can be a bit scary. It has never been a better time for work from home moms to launch their online empire.
Did you know that there is more software in the average smartphone now than was available to the space agencies when they started sending things up to space! As long as you have an internet connection and a device such as a Desktop PC, Laptop, Tablet or Smartphone you are in business. Then it is just a matter of leveraging the resources available so that once you set things up your business will run on auto-pilot. Embrace technology because it is your best friend.
Love What You Do – You must love your business otherwise what’s the point. If you have passion in what you are doing then guess what you will be more productive and ultimately more successful.
Sit down and think “what do I like doing“, “what am I good at“, “what do I know“. If you can any of those ingredients onto your business then it will give you a good foundation and make your business venture more fulfilling.
Be Decisive – The first decision that you have to make is do you want to work from home. You must be clear in your mind that this is the way forward for you. Working from home sounds a really good option for a lot of people but there are some things to think about.
There tends to be a lot of distractions, your children may need to attending to, the animals need to cared for, people knocking at the door, time constraints because you may need to at specific places at specific times. All these factors have to be taken into account.
My advice would be to work out a schedule so that you are organised so you can dedicate allotted times of the day to work. This makes you time efficient so ultimately your are more productive and things get done. The last thing you want to do is to enter into something half hearted because it will not work.
Keep It Personal – One of my pet hates not being able to speak to a real person when there is a problem. There is nothing worse than going through an automated sequence of prompts of “press this number for this department“. This goes on for it seems hours sometimes. Also what really annoys me is when I have taken the trouble to email someone and they do not reply.
In all the businesses that I have owned I have always made a point of keeping it personal. All my customers have direct access to me. They know that if they call me I will answer them, if they email me I will reply within 24 hours. I talk to poeple on Skype through an appointment system.
You may have noticed that when you came onto my website there is a “Contact” pop up box. It has my picture and has my invitation to talk to you. This gives people piece of mind that there is a real person behind the business, the website and behind the emails that are sent out.
If you can adopt this element into your business then you have a bigger chance of making it a success. Businesses are successful because of the relationship between the vendor and the customer. Think about it if you have bad customer service do you go back again?.
I will now practice what I preach, if you have any questions you would like answered then please, please, please feel free to contact me. Just go to the Contact Us Tab where you will find all they ways to get in touch with me.
As always I wish you well.
