So Just What Are Your Passions And Have You Got Time To Enjoy Them?

We all have busy lives nowadays and it is sometimes hard to find time to do the things that we want so I would like you to sit down and think about just what are your passions and do you get enough time to enjoy them.

Myself personally I have two main passions in life and because I am my own boss I am able to arrange time to enjoy them. The first one is holidays which I have pretty much covered because I go to my holiday home in Cyprus three times a year.

Once my wife has set up all her holiday dates with her company I then plan my work around them. Luckily with my internet business I can work from my apartment as I have satellite broadband so I can keep a close eye on things.

My other main passion is Golf and it is closely linked to my first passion because we have some fabulous golf courses in Cyprus. Some of them have been designed by famous golfers including Nick Faldo, Tony Jacklin and there is a project under development which has been designed by Jack Nicklaus & Gary Player. So we have some really good choices.

I am fortunate as I have already said in regard of being able to play more or less when ever I want. I have the flexibility to arrange my work literally at the drop of the hat. I know that for a lot of people that is not the case because of the constraints of working set hours.

I know that there are many people trying to think up ways of just how they can fit an extra round in. Some of my golfing buddies are in this position. They are in mainstream jobs and the corporate world and do not have the luxery like me of just taking time off. They can’t just ask their boss for the day off if it is nice and sunny and come and have a game and have to rely on arranged holiday time to play during the week.

That is one of the main benefits of having your own business whether that is a traditional business or an internet based business. Fortunately I have both which allows me to do a few hours in the morning and be on the course by 1.00pm. It’s nice that after 18 holes I am sitting down to a well earned pint just when people and including some of my friends are just leaving off work.

I must admit that I can’t hepl winding them up from time to time. On the rare occassion that I get a birdie I will text them to let them know knowing full well they are hard at work.

What really annoys me sometimes is the fact that playing golf at the weekend is so much more expensive and it is hard to get a tee off time because the course is so much busier. Sometimes I am forced to play then because as I have said for some of my friends that is the only time they can play. I find that I have to book the tee time weeks in advance which is against my way of thinking because I like to be spontaneous and go and play when I feel like it especially during the week.

I’ll go and play on my own sometimes. I find it relaxing and I have has some of my best ideas for business on the course. So much so I take a notebook with me just incase I have some golden nugget come into my mind.

I am in a transitional stage of my businesses and I am in the process of winding down my cleaning business to concentrate more on my online business activities. So much so that I have should have completed the transition within the next 6-12 months.

This will allow me even more time to explore the courses in Norfolk in the UK where I live. I must admit there is a bit of an ulterior motive to moving full time online and that is because in spring 2016 I will be moving full time to Cyprus and I have a friend who lives there full time. He works from home and we are already planning our schedule.

To me it is all about the lifestyle, no geographical business restrictions, time flexibility to do what I want and I have visions of what my ideal day will look like.

To work a few hours from my balcony, then have game of golf and then drinks and dinner at a little beach bar we know and watch the sun set.
