We as Generation X members have seen the technology world change immensely over the last 30-40 years. What you may not realise that today in the year 2014 is how easy it is to leverage all the technology resources that we have at our disposal to build and develop a successful internet business.

Before I go into more detail I just want to give you a brief history lesson on how business was done back in the day. I will show you what is available today and how easy it is to run your business.

The thing with us Generation X members is that we can remember when the first personal computers came onto the market. In the mid 1970’s Apple brought out their first PC and going into the 1980’s, especially in the UK, Amstrad were a major player in the market.

As a young lad I can remember using these for playing games on. Yes they had other sinclair zx spectrumfunctions such as word processing but I saw them as entertainment machines. I had a Sinclair ZX Spectrum (blast from the past) and you had to load a game from a cassette. You literally had time to make a cup of coffee and have a barbecue in the time it took to load.

polaroid cameraThen we go onto cameras. I thought it was amazing when we got a Polaroid camera where the picture came out of the front. Most cameras of the time had a roll of film in them and when you had finished the roll you had to send it to the developer and wait 2 weeks for it to come back with no knowledge as to if any of the pictures had come out. Fortunately nowadays everything is digital and instant.

Mobile phones came out and they became the status symbol of the day. The only thing is that you either needed a wheel barrowold mobile phone to carry it around or you needed to be built like Arnold Schwarzenegger to hold it. It was like a suitcase with a handset.

The 80’s started to see a lot of things go mobile, the phone like I have mentioned and the introduction of the sony walkmanSony Walkman which allowed you listen to music on the move. Things then started to go digital with the invent of Cd’s and Dvd’s which to be fair have stood the test of time. I know that nowadays people tend to download things but I still think it is nice to buy and receive a physical product from time to time.

Moving on. My first job was in a printing company and yes we did have a computer system installed. The program was specially built for the company but I have to laugh when I look back now because every morning I had to load the database and files onto the system. I had to put a cassette the size of a VHS Video (remember those) into the hard drive and it would take about half an hour before we could do any work. I then had to repeat the task at the end of the day to save that day’s work. We had no email and more or less every correspondence had to go snail mail.

Every previous job’s details were in big brown docket envelopes and in a filing cabinet so you had to physically go and locate the job to see the details. Now everything is done by the push of a button and it is all instant.

The internet was invented in the late 1980’s to early 1990’s and people started to communicate in a different way.

Again we Generation X have had the ability to change with the technology and we have a full understanding of it.

The modern day company is a totally different animal. Yes they still have people on the road selling their products and services; my wife is one of them as she works for a food distribution company. Orders can be sent from mobile devices and can be processed and be ready for delivery in a fraction of the time. The technology is there and can be leveraged.

Now what I am about to come on to is a total game changer in how you right now can build a business with total automation. It can work in just about any type of niche or type of business. How you can capture leads, build a relationship with them so that the prospect can begin to know, like and trust you so that you can therefore turn them into customers.

You can have all the tools to create websites at a click of a button, there is no code to learn, it is like using Microsoft Word. Literally you can build a website with a few clicks of your mouse and then all you have to do is keep it updated. Once the system is set up all you have to do is concentrate on the marketing, and don’t worry if that is not something that you are familiar with later on I will share with you how I can help you with that.

The amazing thing about this kind of business and doing this type of business is that it is totally scalable. You can rinse and repeat and build multiple businesses or in other words multiple streams of income.

smartphonesDid you know that you can operate a business from your smartphone and that a smartphone has more technology in it than what was used to send the first rocket into space?

This website that you are visiting has been created, developed and maintained by myself. I have no technical qualifications but with a little bit of training I have created, in my opinion, a visually pleasing and quality website. I can introduce you to the same tools to create websites just like this one.

The software suite I am referring to has over 20 video tutorials and in my opinion is the best point and click Internet Marketing Platform available today.
